Work Packages

W3IH project is designed to boost regional innovation and entrepreneurship in the Western Balkans through the development of Web3 and entrepreneurial skills, and green blockchain solutions. The work plan is structured around five main Work Packages (WPs), each focusing on a specific aspect of the project:

WP1: Project Management and Quality Assurance

This package covers the foundational aspects of project management, including the initial kick-off meeting, development of an internal quality assurance plan, ongoing coordination and communication, organization of project meetings, progress and periodic reporting, and external review and quality control.

WP2: Web3 Curricula Development

This package aims to develop and implement new Web3 courses in higher education institutions to upskill students and staff in the Western Balkans, focusing on Web3 industry requirements. It includes organizing Web3 Masterclasses for academics, developing new Web3 courses and updating existing ones, implementing these courses, and adapting them for different target groups through lifelong learning programs (LLP).

WP3: Web3 Startup Incubator (Green Innovation Focus)

This package focuses on fostering green blockchain innovations by setting up a Web3 startup incubator. It involves mapping the regional Web3 startup ecosystem, developing an incubation program and action plan, organizing Web3 hackathons and ideation workshops, incubating Web3 startups, and conducting an accelerator bootcamp and pitch competition.

WP4: Decentralized Science (DeSci) Network for Sustainability

This package aims to establish a Decentralized Science network to support a research community focused on DeSci. It includes educating researchers on DeSci, developing local DeSci research communities, organizing international DeSci conferences, and implementing DeSci labs and use cases.

WP5: Dissemination and Impact

This final package is dedicated to disseminating the project's deliverables and results, developing a strong project visual identity and website, organizing "Women in Web3" meetups, and engaging with non-academic stakeholders. It also includes a long-term plan for the exploitation of project results and a collaboration agreement for sustainability.
