University of Belgrade (UoB) is the premier research and higher education institution in the Republic of Serbia. Along with teaching activities, with more than 150 programs at undergraduate level and a large number of highly specialized graduate-level programs, the University is a leader in scientific research in Serbia and the region.
University of Belgrade has an extensive international cooperation with a great number of universities on six continents. It is also a member of International University Association (IUA), European University Association (EUA), and Balkan University Network (BUN). University staff has built considerable professional and managerial experience by participating in numerous large European Commission projects such as Tempus, FP7, Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window - Basileus, etc. University of Belgrade has 31 faculties and 13 institutes.
Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FOS), as a member of UoB, is a leading faculty in the region offering high-quality education in management and organization, and information systems and technologies. FOS provides 25 study programs across three study levels — bachelor, master, and Ph.D. academic studies. One of the key qualities of FOS is its highly competent academic staff, devoted to providing students with advanced knowledge and practical skills required for success in their future careers.
FOS emphasizes practical education through authentic projects and internships with leading domestic and foreign companies. Its strong cooperation with the business community helps students follow the latest industry trends and find employment after graduation. It has established research centers and laboratories focused on IT, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, HR, and more.
FOS promotes internationalization, with many international students and student organizations that support cross-cultural exchange. Facilities span 14,000m² and include 13 computer rooms (385 computers), 5 amphitheaters, 10 classrooms, library, reading rooms, and tech-equipped infrastructure. In the last 10 years, FOS has completed 183 national and 40 international projects funded by ministries, companies, and programs such as Tempus, Erasmus+, UNDP, USAID, EuropeAid, and Horizon Europe.
Project Role
The University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences (UoB), leads the Web3 Curricula Development (Work Package 2), conducts external review and quality control, develops an incubation program action plan, and implements DeSci labs and use cases. UoB’s extensive experience in education, research, and business collaboration make it well-suited to develop skills and infrastructure for fostering Web3 and DeSci innovation.
